Who is Pop Soap? I'm Ann Donahue, and I run Pop Soap as a side business out of my kitchen. I like the mad scientist element of soapmaking: a little color, a little fragrance, a cool mold - and voila! You can reach me at ann@popsoap.com with questions, comments, or suggestions.

You run it out of your kitchen? Your kitchen must look like hell. Yes, it does. I was never much of a cook in the first place.

Do you have a real-world store? I don't, but we sell soap at craft fairs throughout Southern California. Check out our current schedule under "About Our Products" on the left-hand side navigation bar.

What ingredients do you use? My ingredients page is under "About Our Products" on the left-hand side navigation bar. Each soap is individually labeled with what they contain. I strive to use the safest, best quality ingredients, but it's impossible to tell if any element will could irritation in certain individuals. None of my products have been examined by the FDA, but I use all of them myself. In addition, since my soaps are made by hand, some main contain variations in color and scent intensity from batch to batch.

How long will my soaps take to arrive? I ship your order in 2-3 business days; from there, it depends on the shipping method you've selected at checkout. For orders under 10 lbs. I can send packages using Priority Mail from the U.S. Postal Service - that should take two to three days. For other shipments, I use UPS, which can get you your goods in a jiffy if you need 'em quick!

Hey, where's my stuff? I'm dirty! Please e-mail me at orders@popsoap.com and I'll give you an update. If you've shipped UPS, please use the tracking number on your invoice to check your package's progress on UPS.com.

My soap has little crystals on it. What's up with that? Don't worry! The little crystals are totally harmless! The process is known as sweating, and it happens when melt and pour soap - the kind of soap I make - is exposed to extremes in temperature. (It's happened during shipping, especially to far-flung locations.) The crystals are small beads of soapy water, and they should disappear after the first use. If it freaks you out too much, let me know at ann@popsoap.com, and I'll send you a free replacement in the hopes that this time the soap won't get stuck in the damp Raiders of the Lost Ark warehouse en route.
